Learn the basics of sweater fit with designer Aimee Sher. Learn about size selection; demystify ease; identify fit features on patterns and how fiber choices affect fit; and how to approach modifications. By the end of the class you'll understand how to evaluate whether a pattern is suited to a knitter’s needs and desired fit.
This class will also include tips on how to create trustworthy swatches that don't lie to you! Learn how to reduce the chances of a lying swatch; best swatch practices; blocking your swatch, and how yarn and fiber choice impacts swatching.
By learning how to make a great swatch, you’ll improve your chances of getting a garment that fits, and avoid running out of yarn on your projects.
This is a lecture style class with visual aids. There will be no hands on work.
Due to the time limitations, we will not be going over specific math on how to work modifications, but you’ll come away with a framework on how to design your customized fit for any pattern based on your unique needs.
