Paola Vanzo is the co-founder and creative heart behind mYak, where Italian design meets Tibetan tradition to spin stories in yarn. With a Master’s degree in Chinese Studies, Paola spent over two decades living and working between China and Tibet, leading non-profit projects that supported local communities. While working with Tibetan nomads on a dairy initiative, she discovered the incredible potential of yak fiber — and an idea was born: to turn a thread of tradition into a bridge for social impact.

Today, through mYak and the Kangri Metok project, Paola continues to connect worlds — blending art, compassion, and entrepreneurship in everything she does. Warm, curious, and endlessly creative, she believes that in her world, yarn is never just yarn — it’s a story, a journey, a bridge between hearts.
