    Attendee Guest: $1100;     available for spouses, significant others, or non-maker guests of attendee. I can't attend retreat events but would love to shop the marketplace; are marketplace only tickets available?

Yes! Marketplace tickets will go on sale May 10th, 2026, and allow access to the Vendor Marketplace only on Friday or Saturday afternoons from 2-5pm. These tickets exclude all classes, meals, social making times, and swag bag. You must purchase a separate pass for each day you want to attend. 

I want to purchase a Full Attendee Double ticket and stay with a roommate; how do I register?

There are a limited number of double rooms available in the hotel, most are single occupancy. If you want to stay with a roommate of your choice, you must register both attendees at the same time, and specificy the names of the people rooming together. We recommend choosing one person in the party to register both attendees and complete checkout. 

Can I purchase additional classes?

Full Attendees will have the option to purchase up to 2 additional classes; day pass attendees are limited to one class of their choice, included in their ticket.

What meals are included for each registration type?

Full attendees will receive the following in their package:

  • Welcome Reception & Happy Hour, Thursday June 11th
  • Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner, Friday June 12th & Saturday June 13th
  • Getaway Breakfast, Sunday June 14th

Day Pass attendees will have access to lunch on the day of their pass, and everyone will have access to snacks in the social making rooms on Friday & Saturday afternoons.

Marketplace Tickets do not include meals.

What bonus content is available for retreat participants?

Where should we start?! We'll have free patterns for exclusive designs from some of the presenters; custom colorways by the marketplace indie dyers; special collaborations between designers and dyers; and more. Full Attendee participants will receive a free luxury swag bag chock full of goodies; a limited number of bags will be available for purchase in the marketplace. 

How do I get to Kansas City?

Kansas City International Airport features a new terminal that services all major airlines. Please note that airfare is not included in any registration price, and must be arranged separately, along with transportation to the retreat venue. The Elms is located in Excelsior Springs, Missouri, which is located approximately 30 minutes from the airport. Out of town retreat attendees will need to either Uber to the venue or consider renting a car.

What is the event cancellation policy?

Cancellations made by 11:59pm CST on February 28th, 2026 will receive a 50% refund. Cancellations made between March 1st and 11:59pm CST on March 31st, 2026 may receive a 90% refund if we can fill your spot; no refund for cancellations made during that time period if we cannot.  No refunds for any cancellation made after March 31st, 2026.

Is on-site parking available at the hotel?

There are several parking lots surrounding The Elms property--and they are FREE!  So lots of room for your rental car, if you choose to get one.

What is unique about the event venue?

The Elms Hotel & Spa is an iconic property in the greater Kansas City metro region, full of character and history. Harry Truman spent the 1948 election night at the hotel, and it was there that the Secret Service informed him that he had won the election! Amenities include: 

  • The Spa at The Elms, including the Grotto Experience
  • Indoor European lap pool
  • Three Owls, the on-site restaurant featuring a chef-driven menu and locally sourced ingredients
  • The Tavern, a late-night bar that hosts live music on the weekends
  • 24-Hour Fitness center
  • Paranormal tours are available nightly and can be arranged separately through the front desk.

Yes! We are working on a number of add-on experiences to enhance your retreat stay--we will release that information as we get closer to the date!
